#1845: 1/2 Real Nuevo Reino 1.305 grams / gramos.
Obverse: PHILIPVS monogram with legend around, but without a crown above the monogram . The legend should say "CAROLVS · II · D · G". Some of the legend is visible "... LVS · II ...". Reverse: Cross with castles and lions in correct order. Legend around should say "HISPANIARVM REX" and the date. What can be seen is, "HIS...RV", see comment below. R/L M54-1, L/R M54s-1, C&T Type 141a, number 713b. Anverso: Monograma de PHILIPPVS sin corona y al rededor estaría la leyenda "CAROLVS.II.D.G.". Se observa parte de la leyenda. Lo más claro es "...LVS II.." de CAROLVS . II. Reverso: Cruz cuarteada con castillos y leones en el orden correcto. En la leyenda situada alrededor estaría la leyenda "HISPANIARVM REX" y la fecha. The Colombian half reals of Charles II carry the PHILIPVS monogram of Philip, to our knowledge no Colombian half real is known with a CAROLVS monogram. The coin design should carry the royal crown above the monogram, this piece does not have it, nor do some other illustrated pieces. The reverse legend does not carry a date, as the die sinker ran out of space before he got to the date. Notice that the "V" and "H" of HISPANIARVM are adjacent, so the legend actually is HISPANIARV. This specimen from Auction 04, Numismaticos Colombianos 10-November-2001, lot 191. Los medios reales colombianos de Carlos II llevan el monograma PHILIPVS, de Felipe. Hasta donde sabemos no se conoce monograma de CAROLVS. Según el diseño, la moneda debería llevar la corona real sobre el monograma. Esta no la tiene y tampoco otras ilustradas. La leyenda del reverso no lleva fecha pues el tallador ocupó el espacio antes de poner la fecha. Nótese que "V" y "H" de HISPANIARVM quedaron adyacentes, así que la leyenda es realmente HISPANIARV.
